guided campus tours
Customized campus tours for groups of high school students grades 9-12. Your College Knowledge professional will work with your school or organization to personalize a tour schedule that best fits the needs of the students, school and community. The program offers the opportunity to visit large, small, private, public and HBCU institutions. We will meet with the admission representatives at each school, take a walking tour of campus and eat in the dining hall. This experience will help to define what a 'good-fit college' looks like from a variety of domains--academic, social/emotional and financial.
curriculum
The College Knowledge curriculum provided throughout the trip helps to supplement some of the work already being done by high schools in their college preparatory curriculum. Trip topics include: profiles of each college, admission requirements, college majors and course of study, aspects of student life on campus, various support services available for college retention, work-study options, study abroad possibilities, residence hall living, campus safety, the college application process, standardized test scores, financial aid, understanding the 4-6 year graduation rates of each college/university, a list of related college questions to ask admissions and tour guides…and more.
Flexibility
Professionally guided College Knowledge tours allows families the freedom to save time, money and frustration in navigating the college planning process. With over twenty-years of college advising experience, our professionals will take the pressure off families and simplify the college selection and admission process. Finding the right fit, having fun along the way, and learning-by-doing will allow your students to fully engage in the college planning process.
lodging
Our professionals work with each high school group to ensure a high quality, comfortable and safe stay in a three-star rated, or above, hotel.
meals
College Knowledge Trips and Travels works with each college and university to provide meals in student dining halls on campus. This is an authentic approach allowing students to feel what it would be like to converse, eat, and socialize on a college campus.

“The answer is much broader than just attaining a college degree. We hope for our youth to be happy, engaged citizens, be healthy, have positive relationships with others, feel like they can make their own decisions about how they direct their lives, and have the know-how to do it.”
